Activity on mobile devices accounts for a significant portion of web traffic, so optimizing your site for mobile is important so your visitors have an easy experience navigating your site. With Articulation, we handle this for you. Components like image galleries, grids, columns, and more automatically stack vertically, maximizing the viewing size of elements in the components.
Setting Options for Different Screen sizes
Many component options can be configured for different screen sizes individually. To do this, look to see if the desktop/mobile icon is shown.
If it is, click on it and you’ll see options for desktop, tablet, and mobile, allowing you to configure these individually for each.
Displaying Different Content on Mobile Devices
What if you want additional control over the content itself on mobile devices? We make that easy, too. To show you what we mean, let’s use a common example. The table component is a great way to display a lot of textual information in table format. On mobile devices, though, you can’t simply stack the cells vertically because it loses the context of rows and columns. There’s an easy way to solve this: the block component.
With the Block component, you choose what screen sizes display the component. By default it shows on all, but you can toggle off sizes you want to hide it on. This means you could add three block components, add a table component to each, then set up your table to look the best on all three screen sizes. Alternatively, you could use a table on desktop screens, then use a different component entirely to display the information on smaller screens.
