Similar to your site header, your site footer is a global section - this means that it’s shown on all pages of your site. To edit your footer, scroll down to the bottom of any page of your site in the website editor.
Footer Links component
Footers are a common place to add links to pages of your site and to social media networks. We automatically add a built-in component to the footer just for this purpose. Click on the Footer Links component within your footer section to edit it. The options panel for the component will open on the side of the editor with the following options:
- Copyright Label - Since the footer contains a copyright, you can edit this field to change the text used with the copyright.
- Links - The footer is a great place to repeat or expand on the links in your site navigation. Click the Add Link button to add links. Similar to your site navigation, you can click and drag links to change the order.
- Social Accounts - This works similar to the Social Accounts component as well. Click on Add Social Account to add a network. To change the order, click on a network in the list and drag it to a different place within the list. To delete a network, click on the red X button.
Adding additional content
In addition to the built-in component, you can add additional content to the section. Click on the section to edit it (or if you are editing the footer component, click on Structure on the top of the left-side panel, then click on Footer). Next, click on the Add Content button in the options panel to add any components you wish.
Like other site sections, you have additional options for the section as well. For more information, see our article on working with sections.
