With the Featured Posts component, you can display posts from [your blog] on any page of your website. To get started, click on Add Content at the top of the website editor, then drag the Featured Posts component to a page of your site. Next, click on the component to open the options panel on the side of the website editor.
Note: If you’d rather just have a page showing all blog posts with pagination, consider adding a link in your navigation to your blog archive page.
Layout
We provide four different layout options which control how the posts display within the component:
- Stacked - This option displays each blog post as a “card”, with the post image at the top of the card and post details underneath.
- Large Image - This option also uses a card format for each post, but the post image is used as a background image for the entire card.
- List - Posts are displayed as a vertical list; for conciseness the blog post image is not used.
- Full - This option is also a vertical list, but the full contents of the post are displayed. If a post uses the Read More component, content after that component is hidden.
Posts
There are a few different options that you can use to control which posts are used with the component.
- Posts - There are two choices for this option: Live Query and Specific Posts. The former is the default and performs a query based on the choices you make on other options below. If you choose to select specific posts, then the other options are hidden and a button to choose specific posts will be shown.
- Number of Posts - With this option you can choose from 1 to 20 posts in total to display with the component.
- Ordering - By default this option orders posts from newest to oldest, but you can also choose to order posts from oldest to newest.
- Authors - With this option you can select a specific author or authors from which the component will include posts. By default this is set to include all authors.
- Tags - This option allows you to limit posts shown in the component to just those that have specific tags. By default this is set to include all tags.
Spacing
The Margin option found in this option group controls the space around all posts within the component. You can set this individually for each side or all together, and can set it separately for different screen sizes by clicking the desktop/mobile icon.
