Once you’ve created blog posts, showcasing them on your website is easy. With a combination of components and a link to the system ‘blog index page, you can both show off recent posts as well as provide an easy way to view your full list.
How to Add a Blog Page
There are two ways you can do this depending on what your needs are and how much control you want: a quick option and an option with a fully customizable page.
The Quick Option
We provide a system page which displays your blog posts with pagination. This page is not editable but you can link to it with your site navigation or with components. When adding the link, choose the Blog Index option found within the System category of pages.
Fully Editable Page Option
If you want a fully-customizable page like other pages of your site, then follow this option. First, Add a page to your site called “blog” or another name you prefer. On the popup to add content, click on the Blog tag and choose the Featured Posts component. Configure the Featured Posts component however you’d like, then add a Button component underneath the Featured Posts component. Link this button to the Blog Index option found in the System category. Update the text to “View All Posts”.
You now have a fully editable page that shows some of your most recent posts along with a button linking to the full list. If you want to take this a step further, add a Columns component, drag your Featured Posts component into one column and your button into the other, then add any other additional content you’d like under the button. For example, the Blog Tags component could be very helpful here. With an Image component and a Rich Text component, you could also add “about the author” information to your blog sidebar.
